Setup Usage and Test Sawing I have three chains. I have used the standard sharpening methods up until this point. I had sharpened a 2 year old chain before making this video just to get to know the grinder, i cut a knotty piece of wood i had lying around which made the 'chips' at the start of the video. The chainsaw is an Husqvarna 440e. The first test chain at the end of the vid had cut down a tree, chopped half into the logs you see behind and chopped the other half into 20cm blocks. It may have hit the soil a couple of times and dulled the chain. I will sharpen it next. Process: You just need to spend a little time getting the stops set right then it's a straight forward job of making your way along each side of the chain. You can then measure a raker/depth gauge to see if these need attention, then change to the other disk to grind these.
