Exciting news for the Philippine Air Force! On June 21, 2024, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released the second Multi-Year Obligational Authority (MYOA) Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) for the Additional Light Lift Aircraft Acquisition Project. This SARO, worth 1,248,000,000 pesos, represents 30% of the project's total cost and marks a significant milestone in enhancing the transport and logistics capabilities of the Philippine Air Force. PT Dirgantara Indonesia is making significant progress in constructing the NC-212i Aviocar light lift aircraft, and we expect the delivery to be faster and smoother than the previous batch. This project, part of the 2018 Horizon 2 phase of the Revised AFP Modernization Program, aims to procure six new light lift transport aircraft with short take-off and landing capabilities. These versatile aircraft will be utilized for cargo and personnel transport, utility missions, surveillance, and more, significantly boosting the operational readiness of the Philippine Air Force.
