Can you tell us a little bit about that? Dr. Adam Summers: Sure, I'd love to talk a little bit about sculpsure. We're really excited to have sculpsure here. It's a treatment modality that we've been wanting to bring into the practice for a number of years. There are a number of different companies that had promoted laser devices that could melt fat and we had brought those devices into the practice over the past five to 10 years and none of them lived up to their promise. So we sent all of those devices back to those manufacturers and we continued to look for ways to reduce fat without surgery. We've been using radio frequency treatment, ultrasonic treatments, but now just in the past year the FDA has approved a device called sculpsure, which is a new laser treatment that destroys, permanently removes unwanted fat from stubborn areas such as love handles, the abdominal region. Anywhere on your body from the neck down that has unwanted fat can be treated and what's really unique about these treatments is that when the treatments are performed, it only takes 25 minutes of laser therapy to get 24% permanent destruction, removal of the treated fat. So let's say you have love handles or some abdominal belly fat. We can treat that area with one treatment, 25 minutes and that fat will be eliminated. Now, the treatment works by melting the fat, it destroys the fat cells and the heat from that also causes a little bit of collagen buildup in the skin so you get a little bit of skin tightening, but your body will then absorb the destroyed fat over the next six to 12 weeks and we see patients getting their optimal outcome six to 12 weeks following the therapy. There's no down time with the treatment. The treatments don't have to be painful. It can be something that you can have done over a lunch hour and go back to work and just go back to whatever you want to do for the rest of the day. Patients do have the option to have more than one treatment. So with each treatment, you can lose another 24% of fat in that area that's being treated. We see that a lot of patients are interested in treating more than one area and that absolutely is an acceptable thing to do. You can have as many treatments on as many different areas as you'd like and each time you have a treatment, you're gonna reduce the fat in that area about 24%. We do encourage people to continue with their diet and exercise. This is not a replacement for diet and exercise. Sculpsure is not a treatment that gives you the ability to go out and eat as many donuts as you want. It's not for that. It's for patients who have already been to the gym and have gotten to a point where they've eliminated and have reduced their weight and eliminated some of their fat, but they find that there's stubborn areas that won't go away no matter what they do and probably your ideal patient is someone who's already at their goal weight and just has fatty areas that won't go away. They're not even looking to lose more weight, but they have fat that they want to make disappear. So they come in, we put the laser device on them and in 25 minutes they're done and then six to 12 weeks later, they see a 24% permanent fat reduction and patients have asked me what if you eat more, where does the fat go? Well those calories are gonna be stored somewhere in your body if you gain weight, but it won't be gained in the area as much as other areas because you've had that fat permanently removed.
