For travelers planning to visit Khewra Salt Mine: Travel Guide to Khewra Salt Mine Best Route: From Lilla Interchange, take M2 exit towards Pind Dadan Khan road. Although the road is in poor condition, but it's wider and preferable to Choa Siaden to Chakwal Rd to Mandra Rd to GT Rd, which is narrow, dangerous, steep and under construction until Mandra Rd. (Overall bad road) Khewra Salt Mine Details: Open 7 days a week Ticket counter closes at 5 pm Review: Khewra Salt Mine is a must-visit destination, ideal for a one-time trip. Amenities include: Ample parking Limited but available restrooms Sitting area near counter for elderly or those unable to walk 10-minute walk from counter to mine entrance (or opt for train with extra charges) 30-minute walk inside mine with guided tour Tips: Buy souvenirs outside the mine for better prices.
