Welcome back to DVD Corner on WN Movie Talk — where we celebrate physical media, DVD collecting, Blu-ray collections, and classic cinema. In this video I’ve restructured my DVD collection again, added new shelving, and started organising my movies by director and in chronological order. It’s a fascinating way to explore cinema history because you can literally see how filmmakers evolve over time. Instead of sorting purely alphabetically or by genre, I’ve created shelves dedicated to some of the greatest filmmakers in movie history including Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, Wes Anderson, Ridley Scott, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Ron Howard, Oliver Stone, David Fincher, Robert Zemeckis, Danny Boyle, Terrence Malick and Sam Mendes. Along the way we look through films such as Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Memento, Inception, Interstellar, Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, The Wolf of Wall Street, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac, Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Trainspotting, American Beauty and 1917. 🎙 Listen to the WN Movie Talk Podcast https://shows.acast.com/wnmovietalkpo... 📻 My Movie Scores Radio Show – Thursday Nights 9pm Up Close Radio https://upclose.radio/presenters/trev... Organising movies this way has also helped me create more space on my shelves, track down missing titles in my collection, and appreciate the careers of iconic directors from Hollywood, independent cinema and cult film history. If you’re a movie collector, film fan, physical media enthusiast, or cinephile building your own home cinema library, this might give you some ideas for organising your own DVD or Blu-ray collection. Let me know in the comments — do you organise your films alphabetically, by genre, franchise, or by director? 🎬 TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Intro and Housekeeping 01:46 Box Sets and Series 02:24 Ridley Scott Movies 03:46 Chaplin & Hitchcock Box Sets 04:05 Steven Spielberg Movies 06:10 Stanley Kubrick Movies 06:53 Paul Thomas Anderson Movies 07:08 Christopher Nolan Movies 07:47 Clint Eastwood Movies 09:28 Oliver Stone Movies 10:26 Tim Burton Movies 11:29 Ron Howard Movies 12:57 The Coen Brothers Movies 14:18 Martin Scorsese Movies 15:54 Wes Anderson Movies 16:52 Quentin Tarantino Movies 17:27 David Fincher Movies 18:06 Robert Zemeckis Movies 19:15 Danny Boyle Movies 20:19 Terrence Malick Movies 20:38 Sam Mendes Movies #DVDCollection #PhysicalMedia #MovieCollectors #BluRayCollection #FilmCollection #FilmDirectors #CinemaHistory #MovieCollectors #HomeCinema #WNMovieTalk
