Zet Kayaks CHILI- "first" paddle

Finally decided to join the "half-slice" bandwagon and pick up a modern design. I've been paddling for ~25 years- lots of playboating, creeking, river-running, and for the past few years mostly slalom. I'm not playboating or paddling class 5 much these days due to some recurring shoulder injuries and just getting old... So a sporty river-runner that paddles like a slalom boat should fit right in! I had been eyeing the Chili for a while, and had a chance to hop in one at our local slalom race a couple weeks back for a quick lap. And then ended up buying one shortly after! First impressions from a mellow paddle on our local class 3 play run at a good splashy flow (see shoulder injury comment, still feeling out how much I can throw the boat around): Fast Responsive Easy to edge Comfortable (though I am changing the outfitting and putting in a different backband to make it better) Damn fun to just drive around Paddles like my slalom boat (well, both kayaks were designed by the same person) but waaay better for running harder whitewater This thing is gonna be fun :-) #zetkayaks #chili #whitewater
