The grow box needs to use sunlight and heat when available, so it will be window-mounted, but it will supplement with LED grow lights and mains powered heating when necessary. It can manage moisture in the growing medium (soil or other) via a sensor and irrigation system. It will manage temperature and humidity, via the retractable blind, the grow lights,. the heater and via circulation and extraction fans. It will include online data logging with a web interface. It will be able to send status reports and alerts, and will accept commands from the web interface. I'll use this box to grow tomatoes or other expensive or rare vegetables & herbs indoors, in winter or any other time of year. Everything will be organic.
