Here is a Record with vocal by it's band leader, I bought this record with a large batch of Crown records a long time ago, expecting this side to be a collegiate march or rapid one step tempo Betty Co Ed type song! WOW was I surprised! It is very DREAMY and simply BEAUTIFUL! I recently found out a connection between RCA Victor and ARC, these Crown records are among them, Adrian Schubert (who I adore) was the recording director. He is responsible for the wonderful BANNER label around 1921, CROWN was started by PLAZA in 1930, with some sort of connection from the soon defunct Grey Gull records, then ARC took on the label after Plaza changed over, then Crown was dropped when ARC bought Brunswick from Warner Brothers in 1931, (I had to make a correction) Victor took on the name for it's new budget line of records making it the first client label Victor had, Electrdisk and Timely Tunes were pressed along with them, hints why these sound so similar to Crown records, Crown did it's own recording, but they were pressed by Victor so I heard! Later Bluebird was the leading budget label with the early issues sounding a lot like these Crown records as well! I hope I got this right! I thought it was very interesting because I wondered why the 1932 -1933 Victor and subsidiaries, and Crown sounded so much alike!! I sure hope You will enjoy this wonderful record!!
