Welcome to the 5th episode of our TBC Classic Rogue PVP series "Five minutes with". This week, we're excited to highlight Maceo as Rogue/Disc priest. [For race/spec/infos: Read description 👇] ⛔ This is a private server series of content that displays level 70 TBC rogue gameplay in arenas. This is purely made to bring resources to players. SIlent Shadows does not support private servers. 🔷🔷 Race: 🔸 Horde side: you play it as double undead, for the WoTF, and the additional DoT (Devouring Plague). You could also consider being an Orc since your partner can dispel Fear effects. This would bring stun resists (Hardiness) and a great racial for better damage (Blood Fury). 🔸 Alliance side: Priest's best race is Dwarf. Stone Form is a lifesaver (and a mana saver) against opposing rogue teams. The Chastise and the instant healing are also extremely appreciated. For a rogue, the human is obviously a great pick, for optimized openers, but you could also consider playing another race (Dwarf) which could bring a more complete toolkit with the Stone Form (a second cloak equivalent against poisons, but also great against bleeding effects to secure a vanish Sap). (2/2 imp expose. 2 points in murder, and 5 points in Vile Poison.) 🔸 Disc Priest Specialization 👉 https://tools.silentshadows.net/talen... 🔷🔷 Commentary (by Maceo): DPR is in general a very strong and common comp for 2s on Classic Burning Crusade. You can play it aggressively with offensive dispels on your main target while the rogue builds up the pressure with poisons and stuns, or more defensively with a cc chain from Fear, Sap, and stun lock. Also, the mana burns are very good and important in longer games. For me as a rogue, I can say that the hardest comps to face are Hunt/Druid and DP/Mage, also good Warrior/Druid teams can sometimes be very tricky. I personally play it not so offensively and prefer controlling the game. Most of time, it's all about playing carefully, trying to win the mana fight, and then set up your kill with a CC chain on the opposing healer with Stunlock/Blind/Sap/Fear, or try to burst a target with offensive dispels.
