© 2012 Scott Rudd Scott Rudd is a lo-fi indie folk artist from Brooklyn, NY. He started playing shows in 2008 and recently toured Europe with his first release Lonely Life. He has played with Jeffrey Lewis, Mute Swimmer, and The Shivers. His song Bullshit Love was featured on Australian radio's Triple J Unearthed and was included on the Stroke Your Beard compilation. Playing with my Heart was also featured on the Valentine's Day release. Scott has recently been working on a series of lo-fi, 4-track cassette demos - delving into raw, unpolished and emotional material. His music can be placed somewhere between Elliott Smith and Daniel Johnston, with songs "full of dark thoughts and regret" (beportland.com). His performances are intense, sometimes withdrawn, but often punctuated with cathartic outbursts or offbeat stage banter. When not recording or playing live, Scott works as a photographer. His music is always personal, often quirky, and deadly honest.
