Located in an urban Dallas neighborhood, this striking modern home by FAR + DANG embraces the challenges of an unusual triangular lot and transforms them into a bold architectural statement. With a total area of 2,264 square feet, the design strategically utilizes an L-shaped configuration to maximize functionality while creating a private, enclosed courtyard at its core. The house is divided into two wings—one dedicated to the living areas and the other to the bedrooms—meeting at a central entry point that serves as a seamless transition between spaces. The exterior is wrapped in a dark, multi-textured façade, with ribbed metal siding and a black-stained wood fence that enhances the home’s sculptural presence. Meanwhile, the interior contrasts this bold exterior with smooth white plaster walls and polished concrete floors, creating a refined, minimalist aesthetic. One of the most compelling features of the house is its private courtyard, accessible through a massive 16-foot sliding glass door. This outdoor space integrates stone pavers, lush greenery, and a tranquil water feature, adding an organic contrast to the home’s controlled geometry. The result is a residence that blurs the lines between architecture and nature, offering a dynamic living experience. Join us as we explore how this home achieves a perfect balance between form and function, modernity and warmth, privacy and openness.
