Larry Norman - My Feet Are On The Rock - Live - Home At Last ~ (1989) ~ Track 1 Live ~ Home At Last - (1989) - A Solid Rock/Benson Production Professionally filmed in front of 15,000 festival fans in Europe, this rock video also brings it all home with an additional performance backed by a full band, a small orchestra and an African American gospel choir shouting for joy. This brings Larry's life full circle back to the black gospel music which originally inspired him to begin writing his songs back in 1956. The Road To Fehrion - The Journey Of The Jubilant Concerts is the most professional video Larry has ever made. It is also the most personal. It starts off with a song about his earliest memories in San Francisco, growing up in the ghetto, singing rock and roll songs at a time when his church preached that this kind of music was of the Devil. It ends with a song he wrote about the country church his grandmother attended in the Ozarks. In between are many songs which touch upon his development as a musician and as a person (Sitting In My Kitchen and Nightmare #49) reaching out to others (Camel In A Needle's Eye Blues, He Really Loves You and Queen Of The Rodeo) his perspective on televangelism (Letters To The Church) the trials and vicissitudes of life (Lonely Boy Blues, We Three Twogether, Somewhere Out There) and a few other observations about life here on planet Earth. It contains a few small snippets of footage from home movies interspersed with very personal songs about his life growing up in San Francisco, living in San Jose on the cusp of Silicon Valley, signing with Capital Records in 1966 and moving to Los Angeles in 1968 as he began finishing the songs for his solo album "Upon This Rock" and that's just the start, The songs go on to cover other aspects of his career and personal experiences over the next few decades. In almost every instance the live performances captured here are superior to the original studio recordings. The guitar playing of Heiki Silvenoinen has often been compared to Eric Clapton and the arrangements are far more blues and rock oriented than most of the studio versions. Enjoy this video which captures Larry at the crossroads of life and brings the truth of his music Home At Last! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Larry's Site: http://www.larrynorman.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------
