Here are two quick and easy ways to back up the device you use to connect your bridge to your tether. A blocking knot, in this example I use an overhand on a bite, blocks the rope from slipping through the device. A friction hitch back up, I use and auto block hitch , uses friction to grab the rope and act as your hand to hold the rope in the proper position in the device.
