Pediatric Cardiac Surgery - Lebanon - Islamic Relief USA

“We treat everybody as if they have no politics, no religion, no color, no nationality. We don’t care. Everybody deserves to have their heart fixed, their diseases cured—period.” In Lebanon, more than 600 babies are diagnosed with heart disease every year, about 400 of whom will need treatment. Unfortunately many families in Lebanon are compelled to postpone life-saving surgery because of a lack of funds, often destroying their hopes of a full recovery. The Novick Cardiac Alliance (NCA) is an American NGO that treats children around the world suffering from congenital heart disease. The NCA team (from different countries) provides sustainable pediatric cardiac care and trainings, at the aim of saving children’s lives and creating a positive and enduring impact on families, societies and countries. We partnered with NCA and the Pure Heart Foundation at Al-Rachaya Hospital in Lebanon to perform cardiac heart surgeries to pediatric patients with congenital heart disease.
