Watching the pride you felt when you finished your first Mellow Mood Sweater or Top, made me want to design the next step for you — a cardigan. It’s still simple, still stylish, with just a few new techniques. So you can focus on what matters the most: the joy of completing your very first cardigan. SKILL LEVEL: Adventurous Beginner. METHOD: Seamless, top-down construction. You begin with the neckband which is worked in two parts from the back of the neck toward each shoulder. Then stitches are picked up along the edge to shape the yoke. Raglan increases grow the cardigan, and the button bands are worked at the same time. After the yoke, sleeve stitches are set aside while you knit the body with buttonholes. The sleeves are then worked in the round from the top down with basic decreases. This is a unisex design, so you can make one for yourself or as a gift for someone you love. Make it your own: Choose your preferred length and fit options. SIZES: Available in 11 sizes: XXS–XS–S–M–L–XL–2XL–3XL–4XL–5XL–6XL Designed with approx. 19–30 cm / 7.5–11.75 inches of positive ease. Size reference: I’m wearing size S, 168 cm (5’6’’) tall with a 90 cm (35.5”) bust. 🍭 MATERIALS 1. YARN. This cardigan can be made with a variety of yarns.
