There are lots of things to be thinking about on a wedding day, and they are even more intense when you are going at it alone. I (John) only shoot a few of these a year, because they are a bit intense. Join me as I do a full behind the scenes of the wedding of Kara and Baxter. I walk through everything from their wedding day, show you what cameras, lenses, microphones, and lights I use. More importantly, I show you how I interact with everyone on the day. And I really want you to pay attention to it. It is an art form almost. I memorize all of the bridesmaids names, make sure to make people FEEL great, and work as a team with the vendors. I don't take myself too seriously, and know that 1 shot isn't going to ruin or make the video. I don't claim to be the best at shooting weddings. But I consistently am charging more than most, and I believe it is because of the experience I give the bride and groom. My work is solid, don't get me wrong. But I don't think it is something that stands out. I am working on that always, but I also am working on building the experience too. I think most videographers don't think about this.
