Using a spreadsheet to track household income and expenditure

This is how I use a home-made spreadsheet to plan my household finances each month. I reconcile it against my banking app every few days. It is the only way I can keep track of my bank balance now that I make so many contactless transactions, often without a receipt. You can see how I built it and how I use it. I am not an accountant, however for many years I used to be a budget manager (among many other things!) for a large subdivision of an organisation.
