Dhirkhyam -Festival celebrated in Ancient Fort of Labrang Village || winter festivals

Winters are all about celebrating festivals in kinnaur. Dheerkhyam is one of the ancient festival which is being celebrated every year in our village. This festival starts from the oldest house of our village which is believed to be 400 years plus old heritage house . Women of village gather in this Mathus family house . After having food and singing traditional songs everyone left to our ancient fort known as khar in our dialect . Singing traditional songs we reach our fort . Some rituals are done there and we do our traditional dance known as Shonma in our dialect there and head towards our Sorin water source .
