On March 11, 2024, Mary Ann Jackson, Professor of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) presented a useful, fact-filled presentation on “Tickborne Diseases” Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Erlichiosis, Tuleremia and Lyme Disease. Dr. Jackson is Dean of the School of Medicine (until the day of this presentation) and Special Advisor to the Chancellor on health affairs, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Pediatric Disease Society, and from 2017 to 2021 a member of the National Vaccine Advisory Committee. She is the author of more than 375 peer reviewed abstracts, publications and book chapters related to infectious diseases epidemiology, clinical presentation, treatment and prevention of communicable infections. The audience consisted of emeriti of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in person and through zoom. This presentation was part of the monthly program series by the Emeritus College of UMKC.
