During a return trip from Sibu to Kuching recently via the Pan Borneo Highway, we have a quick stop to do our little 'pilgrimage' to the sacred Mt Hosanna chapel, located at KM 157 Kuching-Sri Aman Road. The visit was at late Sunday afternoon with only a few other visitors. I believe that earlier that, the area must have been packed with churchgoers attending the morning mass at the chapel. It was a truly a joyful feeling going up to the hill despite we have to climb the 200-steps called the Jacob's Ladder to Heaven as depicted in the Bible. One arriving at the three white candle shaped front of the chapel, visitors were welcomed by the statue of Lord Jesus. Here is where a lot of miracles believed to have happened. And believers praised the Lord by spreading the good news and return to the chapel. According to history, Mt Hosanna Chapel was initiated by Fr Richard Khoo in 1997 and build with the help of believers. Fr Richard Khoo preached about understand deeper into the process of spiritual healing and forgiveness and of the great love Jesus has for us. Semasa dalam perjalanan balik dari Sibu ke Kuching melalui Jalan Pan Borneo, kami sempat berhenti sekejap untuk 'menziarahi' chapel (gereja kecil) Mt Hosanna yang terletak di KM157 Jalan Kuching-Sri Aman. Ketika itu telah lewat petang dan tidak ramai pengunjung di situ. Saya percaya pada sebelah pagi itu kawasan itu sudah pasti penuh dengan orang yang datang untuk bersembahyang di gereja kecil itu. Sesungguhnya saya berasa sangat senang berjalan ke atas meskipun mendaki 200 anak tangga yang digelar Anak Tangga Jacob seperti dinyatakan di dalam Alkitab. Apabila tiba di atas, kita akan disambut oleh arca Tuhan Jesus. Di sinilah banyak keajaiban dipercayai berlaku. Menurut sejarah, gereja kecil Mt Hosanna ini telah dimulakan oleh Fr Franchis Khoo pada 1997 dan dengan bantuan ahli gereja lain. Fr Franchis Khoo berkutbah tentang pemahaman yang mendalam tentang penyembuhan rohaniah dan kemaafan serta kasih Jesus kepada semua umat manusia. #hosannachurch #catholic #aerial
