In today’s video, we discussed the biggest updates regarding MDCAT 2025, including the Islamabad High Court (IHC) validity case, the Standing Committee’s important meeting on PMDC Act amendments, and the ongoing confusion about relative marking, equivalence formula, and MDCAT result validity. We also highlighted how UHS admissions portal crashes every year, causing stress for thousands of students. --- 🏛️ Standing Committee on National Health — 20 November 2025 Updates A high-level meeting was held in Islamabad, chaired by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, and attended by: Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal PMDC officials IBCC representatives Vice Chancellors Legal experts 🔎 Key Points Discussed: ⭐ 1. MDCAT Difficulty Level Mismatch 2024 MDCAT was very easy, resulting in many 90%+ scores. 2025 MDCAT was moderate and more balanced (15% easy, 70% moderate, 15% difficult). This difference is causing unfair advantage to last year’s candidates. ⭐ 2. MDCAT 3-Year Validity Creates Inequality Chairman Malani said the current 3-year validity system is unfair. He proposed revisiting the relative marking/equivalence formula used by PMC in 2021. ⭐ 3. Federal Health Minister’s Clarification Relative marking NOT possible this year due to ongoing admissions. Around 22,000 students are already in the process. Any amendment to PMDC Act will apply from next year, not 2025. ⭐ 4. Migration Ban Proposal PMDC is considering banning migrations from smaller colleges to large institutions to maintain merit fairness. ⭐ 5. IBCC’s Observation Some policies appear to favor 2024 batch, adding to students’ concerns. ⭐ 6. Committee’s Deadline The Standing Committee has given: Ministry of Law Ministry of Health PMDC 2 days to review: Validity amendment (3 years → 1 year) Migration ban Impact of ongoing court cases --- ⚖️ Islamabad High Court (IHC) Case — Latest Update We discussed: Freshers filed a case to cancel last year’s validity and demand relative marking/equivalence formula. Repeaters filed a case to protect last year’s validity. PMDC submitted arguments, but final decision is still pending. IHC instructed PMDC to consult stakeholders and take a clear position. A final judgment is expected soon. --- 🌐 UHS Website Crash Issue Once again, the UHS website crashed at the start of admissions, causing: Delays Errors in form submission Increased anxiety among students We discussed why UHS must upgrade its server capacity and ensure smooth online admissions. --- 📢 Our Analysis In the absence of a final verdict and PMDC’s unclear stance, students should wait a few more days before finalizing their admission decisions. --- 🔔 Stay Connected For continuous updates on: PMDC MDCAT court cases Admission policies Merit predictions Subscribe to our channel and turn on notifications.
