Based on comments to my other videos, started to consider that the tightly wound Scott 1000 toilet paper, packed tightly in the Frantz cannister, might not fit tightly against the screen in the base. This might allow unfiltered oil to follow the cardboard tube and not go through the paper. Decided to add a spacer, to more precisely center the cardboard tube + block some of the potential leakage around the paper. Also unwrapped the toilet paper to give a sliding fit in the cannister, so oil pressure will press it tightly against the screen. Update: I changed this toilet paper at about 3K miles, it had very definite screen indentations on the end, very uniform arcross the paper. You could also see that the "fence" or "dam" at the bottom had speared its way into the paper, stopping or reducing any bypass or flow around the paper.
