(Reuploaded from last week as one section wasn't the same length as the others, meaning the song ended a few seconds early. Plus I've attempted to 'cleated' smears and marks from the pages.) With it having been the 60th anniversary of Thunderbirds last year and the celebratory BluRay boxset being released at the beginning of this week, I thought I'd upload one of the TV21 comic strips. Here is The Earthquake Maker, which was the first story to have its instalments published on two separate pages, having moved away from the centre spread (that 'honour' now being given to Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons). Nonetheless, Frank Bellamy still provides his spectacular artwork to help bring the strip to life. Published in issues 141-146, the story involves Iran being struck by earthquakes. While the authorities believe this to be a case of bad luck, Brains suspects that these earthquakes may not be natural. Could someone be causing them deliberately and for what reason? To accompany the tale, I have used the song I Feel the Earth Move by Martika (a rare case where a cover is better than the original, sorry Carole King). TEM has been published many times in various comic books by the likes of Ravette/Egmont and will be reprinted in the upcoming Thunderbirds Comic Anthology Volume 2 by Anderson Entertainment at the end of March. One downside is that the text may not be clearly visible (could help get past copyright, even though no infringement is intended). You could try zooming in (easy on a phone) or alternatively, don a pair of Brains' spectacles. Probably works better on a bigger screen. Hopefully, you can enjoy. FAB!
