Birding Borneo 2024: Exploring Sepilok forest reserveversie 4K

Borneo's jungle has a mix of lowland rainforests, peat swamps, and montane forests that support this biodiversity. Rivers meander through the rainforest, while caves and limestone formations create a rugged terrain. However, deforestation, driven primarily by logging and palm oil plantations, has significantly reduced large sections of the jungle. As a result, wildlife habitats are shrinking, and indigenous communities are being displaced. Conservation efforts are in place, but illegal logging and habitat destruction remain major threats. Despite these challenges, Borneo's jungle continues to be a symbol of natural beauty, teeming with life. During this family trip we explored four well known national parks: Santubong NP, Kinabalu NP, Kinabatangan river, and Sepilok / Kabili Sepilok Forest Reserve.
