Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the third overall entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, the sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018), a direct continuation of events from the latter's DLC expansion The City That Never Sleeps, and a narrative follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). Taking place almost two years after Marvel's Spider-Man, the game's narrative features the two Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as they come into conflict with Kraven the Hunter, a big-game poacher and mercenary leader who transforms New York City into a sprawling hunting ground for its superhuman populace, including the Spider-Men and their adversaries.
