This was one hell of a rollercoaster. This started off amazingly, I was blown away by all the new things this boss has to offer, the song choice, and overall aesthetic. Everything about it was perfect. It all went downhill after I beat it TWICE but only captured 4 minutes of the fight (which was at 180 deaths) and then I beat it off recording again on a first attempt when I decided to play it for fun one time (hahaha...). When that happened I didn't think much of it since my run was pretty bad so it was an excuse to do another one, only this time is where I seriously started getting more frustrated and annoyed with the fight. It was more so because uni was in the way and I really wanted to have this behind me, so I became impatient as I was playing it again, which, to an extent, almost made me despise playing it honestly. Bear with me because I have much to stay about the fight below: Phase 1 is perfect, it's slow and not too easy and the song is just so good. It helps that Snatcher is the most generous here with the parries, either here or phase 2, so you can easily skip half of it and even the first half of phase 2 if you're lucky with the parries. All in all, a really solid introduction. 10/10. Phase 2 is a sudden difficulty spike compared to the first one. The laser orbs complicate things majorly, Spinners have 2 layers of portals already, and Corridor with lava and active portals is a chore to deal with. It's not that bad, it's just tricky sometimes. 8/10. Now phase 3 is where the real fight starts. Spark orbs make a comeback but they shoot in the same direction as shockwave sparks unlike Cosmic's. I think overall this is the most balanced phase in terms of difficulty and fairness. It's extremely difficult, but 98% of the time when I got hit, it felt like it was my own mistake. I guess a complaint would be is how super bright and vibrant this phase is, which makes it tough to distinguish between regular shockwave portals and superportals sometimes, but then again I got used to it and I never have trouble with that anymore. Other than that, It's definitely my personal favorite. 11/10. PHASE 4. FUCK this phase. It is SO HARD I swear it is so inconsistent. Sometimes I would blaze through it, other times I would get absolutely destroyed. It does get better with practice, but it only takes you so far honestly, the rest you have to pray you get minions or double reds to kill the orb ASAP, otherwise, you're kinda fucked. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's not my cup of tea. Although the song is GODLIKE HERE HOLY SHIT it fits sooo well with the insanity of this phase so that's a plus. 6/10. Alright Phase 5, this is in my opinion the hardest part of the entire fight. Despite it being a fixed scripted pattern of attacks, it is still just so nerve racking and I still panic sometimes at it. I especially HATE triple clock. I don't like it. I don't like having to rely on luck to get through something. Most of the time if you get the safe spots so far apart from each other, you won't make it in time (if you're doing it hatless that is). Definitely my least favorite phase. I appreciate it for what it is, but still, no. 3/10. Here we go, finale, Phase 6, or Phase 5.5, or whatever you want it to be. It is as crazy as it looks. The entire ground is untouchable, you have to hit one of the orbs 30 TIMES to win. I cannot tell you just how many fucking attempts I lost in this phase because I was thrown off rhythm and everything crumbled all at once in 2 seconds, losing all hp just like that. This is hell. Although, despite how much of a nightmare it is, it does get consistent and does not feel like luck plays a part in it. It is all you and how you control Hat Kid and endure Snatcher's desperate barrage of attacks. The greatest finale to a boss in the workshop. I kneel 🙏🏻. 100/10. holy essay evo yapper 😭. Anyway I know nobody has the attention span to read any of this but I still really wanted to talk about everything in terms of how I feel about the new hardest death wish, Celestial Snatcher. A phenomenal bossfight, despite my negative comments and frustrations. I really love it and I am so thankful to be skilled enough to beat it. I have a love-hate relationship with it. Though this definitely crosses the threshold of being too hard to be enjoyable. Most of my time playing it I was getting very annoyed and I just wanted to shoot myself everytime I died at phase 4 and farther. I really don't recommend someone play it without at least completing Absolute Snatcher, because this is a fight that will easily mop the floor with you and burn you out like there is no tomorrow. Definitely beat Cosmic first before this as it will prepare you well for it. Thank you Doka and everyone else involved in the making of this masterpiece.
