Those who did manage to approach it mysteriously disappeared during their journey. In fact, normal airplanes weren’t even allowed to fly over Antarctica. What’s even more surprising is that, in contrast, the Arctic region at the other end of the world—comprising Greenland, Iceland, Russia, and Alaska—is home to around 4 million people. However, Antarctica has no permanent human population. In fact, there aren’t even land animals in this frozen wilderness. Not even polar bears, with their thick fur and fat layers, could survive in this extreme climate. The only creatures found there are penguins, and even they stick close to the sea. Today, the only human presence in Antarctica consists of a few scientific research bases. It is often said that this land holds only two things—silence and questions. Let's try and answer some of them in today's video.
