I drove to the Smoky Mountains this morning without knowing which trail I would hike. I stopped by the Townsend Wye first, but eventually decided on Crib Gap Trail to Anthony Creek. It's a good trail that I knew would not be crowded, and that is what I was looking for. The weather was perfect, 45 degrees to start with the highs expected to hit the 70s. I saw two deer that were not afraid of me being there. I met another hiker from Cosby, TN and we had a great discussion on trails that we have hiked and ones still on our list. The trail was approximately 4 miles long round-trip and took about 2 hours.
