Chef's Night Out: East Village Sake, Mac&Cheese, & Karaage Sliders with Karasu

Co-Chefs Elena Yamamoto and Yael Peet of Brooklyn's Karasu leave their small izakaya kitchen for a night of sake, pasta, and more pasta in the East Village and beyond. The night out begins at East Village staple Sake Bar Decibel for sake and small bites. Then it's over to the West Village where the chefs order almost every pasta on the menu at Via Carota before heading back to Brooklyn for mac and cheese and white wine spritzers at Moloko. The night ends back at Karasu where the chefs whip up karaage sliders with Japanese tartar sauce to top off the perfect evening.
