I added two lines just to make the snippet feel a smidge more complete. I love the OG Snippet so much! NOW! Yes, there were more sons than Hector. But for all parents: How can you retain and preserve the innocence of your child in the present, while knowing what and how the world is, and fearing for the future of that child? It’s heartbreaking to consider the horrendous fates that could be, while conflicting optimistic thoughts of the life they might have begin to flood, intertwine, and overwhelm you. You love and hold your child close and love them for who they were, are, and are yet to become. So what does a parent say to their child when they, parent, are overwhelmed with emotion? All thoughts I had while performing this piece. I’m beyond excited for “Ilium” and what this project will look like! I built my own version of the track just A-B comparing and adding my own twist to even the instrumental. Gear and programs used: Logitech Streamcam (it’s old, yes.
