Parliament quizzes National Housing and Construction Company officials over irregular asset disposal

The parliamentary committee on statutory authorities and state enterprises has again put to task officials of National Housing and Construction Company over whether they were in control of their assets like land.The committee that was considering the Auditor General's report for the 2014/2015 financial year was concerned that the company’s land was leased by the Uganda Land Commission without the knowledge of the officials while some of the land titles were missing. As Maurice Ochol reports, the committee also questioned the officials on why the management of National Housing was not working in tandem with the board of directors.
