Don't let this gentleman be forgotten. 29 years ago, WWE (then, the WWF, World Wrestling Federation) was in a state turmoil, rocked with one scandal after another, some with truth, others by conmen with an ax to grind. Weekly, in every form of media, the company was under attack. #TomCole had big dreams of working in professional wrestling, and according to his deposition, his teenage life destroyed by sexual harassment and violation by WWF official Terry Garvin and ring announcer Mel Phillips, who were fired by #VinceMcMahon. Instead of a lawsuit, Tom wanted to live that dream harassment free, going back to work for WWF, and received backpay, college tuition (while needing a GED) and promise of being given a tryout as a ring announcer, only to be fired again in 1993. On Friday, February 12th, after three decades of inner turmoil, Tom Cole hung himself in a closet, found by his two teenage daughters.
