Hey there neighbors, it's Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer for Class A motorhomes here on our 2005 Coachmen Mirada Class A motorhome. Steering stabilizers like the Exact Center are gonna be constantly wanting to pull your steering wheel right back to whatever center you put it at. Now, the big thing here that's gonna be important is making sure that your alignment on your motorhome is correct before you actually install this. Otherwise the steering stabilizer can actually exacerbate that issue. So once you make sure that you have your alignment set properly, you can then go install your steering stabilizer. And then what you're gonna notice immediately is that your steering wheel is probably gonna have a whole lot less play in it now because it's constantly wanting to fight you and put you back at that center, so that you're always tracking straight. So, you might feel that it's a bit stiffer whenever you go to actually start making a turn. But in those instances where you're getting a lot of road vibration, the steering is a little bit looser or you're getting all those heavy crosswinds that are really trying to push you around, that steering stabilizer is gonna keep you tracking straight and it's gonna fight that for you. So it'll make it a whole lot less of a white knuckle ride. As far as the installation goes, actually mounting up the steering stabilizer really honestly isn't hard. It shouldn't really take you more than 15 to 20 minutes. You don't need to be on a lift, you want to have the full weight on your suspension. Goes up super, super easy. The big thing is just making sure that alignment is straight and then once you get to that fine tuning point where you're gonna have to undo those jam nuts and start maybe turning the rods a little bit here or there, you really, you could spend forever doing that honestly. And you might not get it just perfect because you really have to be on a level surface, you need to have some straight lines to go with and you need to basically have an area where you're not gonna have any other outside effects like the wind, cross winds from other vehicles, if you're out on the highway, or just offset weight of the actual vehicle itself, fighting against you. So, there's gonna be a point where you might be wanting to rip your hair out and saying, "Ah, I just can't get this perfect," 'cause one little adjustment up maybe is not enough, and then the next one is just a little bit too much. So just keep in mind when you are making those fine tune adjustments, it's maybe not gonna be perfect, but you can get it pretty close to it. So with all that being said, most likely you are gonna probably need to get an alignment job done. So, while you're doing that, maybe also check out our dealer locator and find a shop that's gonna help get that steering stabilizer properly installed for you. And maybe you can have them do some of that fine tuning. That way you're not putting all that work onto yourself, especially 'cause it can be pretty time consuming. I think we spent probably a good hour, hour and a half, going through our parking lot, making fine tune adjustments, getting back in, driving around, and then actually going out on the highway because parking lot speeds versus highway speeds, you're gonna get some different effects. Here in the parking lot I was doing really, really good. And then I'd go out on the highway and I'd still feel a little bit of a pull to the driver's side. So, like I said, kind of get that 20 mile per hour speed while you're in a parking lot. And then also get that 50 to 60 mile per hour speed out on a highway while you're doing your fine tune adjustments. Now we've gone over all the basics here and kind of talked about the install a little bit, let's get over in the shop and we'll show you how to do it. So what we're gonna do is one of the simplest ways, just go to a big open parking lot where you have a lot of lines that you can look at and what we're gonna do is try to let the motorhome run straight and we wanna make sure that it's staying straight with those lines on the ground. And we're gonna see where our steering wheel sits because a lot of the t
