New Message series in the Book of Esther: "For Such a Time as This: Divine Providence and Human Progress in the Story of Esther aand Mordecai" Together we'll see that even when God's presence is not explicitly acknowledged, He is always clearly at work. And because God is always at work, we can choose to join Him in the work that He is doing. Today we'll recount the incredible story of the beautiful and brave Esther, the wise and courageous Mordeci, the follish and fleshy Kin Ahasuerus (Xerses I), and the vain and laughable Haman. Q: What is them most unique thing about the book of Esther that sets it apart from every other book of the Bible? A: God is not once mentioned in the book! We may not always see God's hand, but we can trust His heart. We may not always see God's hand, but we know that He is always at work! And because God is always at work around us, it is our joyful opportunity to join Him in His work and be used by Him to accomplish His will. Discussion Questions: 1.
