Hi all, this video is just a quick one i threw together while i was replacing my Brake pads and rotors. There was uneven wear on one of the rotors which was caused by a caliper issue. I replaced the caliper but didn't show that part because i just wanted to focus on the pad, rotor swap. This video is for information purposes only and i am in no way responsible for any damages done to the vehicle in using the information shown. Amendment regarding 7:00 onwards and resetting the caliper piston. Although the vehicle in the video is a NON ABS vehicle, some variants of the Generation 2 Pajero/Montero/Shogun were fitted with ABS and the piston resetting procedure must be slightly adjusted as follows to prevent contaminants entering the ABS unit: 1: Place a clear hose over the bleed screw 2: Place the other end of the hose in a jar with clean brake fluid in it, ensuring the end of the hose is well submerged in the brake fluid and no air can enter. 3: Open the bleed screw. 4: Compress the caliper piston. and ensure brake fluid is flowing from the caliper into the jar, watch the hose to ensure no air bubbles flow back into the caliper. 5: When the caliper is compressed, close the bleed screw and remove the hose, making sure you clean up any spills immediately. 6: Top up brake reservoir as needed. #Pajero #Montero #Shogun #Brakes #Brakepads #Brakerotors
