Tanjung Balai Karimun is an important ferry terminal which connecting Singapore and the Sumatra Indonesia as a transit station on the sea route. I've passed by this island several time before when taking Pelni or Dumai Line, but this is my first time had chance to visit. I chose Holiday Karimun Hotel to stay and purposely chose a room with balcony in order to have a good view with the harbour. I've tried a quite famous Bak Kut Teh restaurant just besides the hotel and it's very tasty. Frankly much better than the one in Singapore. In the afternoon, I went to the Seaside coastal area and visited some of the landmarks of Tanjung Balai Karimun. The Place is beautiful, and I'm impressed. Especially "Tugu Karimun Bumi BerAzam" and "9-Pillar-Monument" . I also met a local community event of fashion show. Very interesting.
