The entire production operation is done with one single machine and in one single cycle using the two ENGEL application technologies foilmelt and clearmelt, resulting in an efficient and easy-to-handle process. For this application, our two-platen injection moulding machine series ENGEL duo is the perfect choice: Compact design combined with a very generous mould area provides enough space for the comfortable integration of robot and foil feeding device while keeping the footprint small. Anhand einer automobilen Frontblende mit anspruchsvoller Geometrie werden die Vorteile des IMD-PUR Verfahren demonstriert. Bei dem IMD-PUR genannten Prozess werden Kunststoffteile während des Spritzgusses im IMD-Verfahren dekoriert und anschließend in derselben Schließeinheit mit PUR (Polyurethan) überflutet.
