Navajeevana special school and its various activities. A special school for Endosulfan survivors. We provide special education, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupation therapy and income generation program for the parents. All these facilities are available at free of cost. Navajeevana is an initiative of Mananthavady Norbertine to provide justice, education, physiotherapy , speech therapy and Occupational therapy to the disabled children in the civil district of Kasaragod. Navajeevana started in the year 2017 with 9 children at perla on 19/06/2017. Today we have 65 children and 19 staff working at Navajeevana for the wellbeing of differently abled people. Main activities of Navajeevana 1. Special Education – Navajeevana provides special education to the children who are unable to go to school. Navajeevana provides free education, transportation facility, food, bag and needed study materials. 2. Early Intervention center a) Physiotherapy – Navajeevana provides physiotherapy to the children b) Speech Therapy – Navajeevana provides free speech therapy to the children with qualifies staff c) Occupational therapy – occupational therapy is provided to the children especially to the Autism children. d) Special education – Here children are trained to overcome there learning disability 3. Dress Bank – Navajeevana is situated in the most remote village in the district of Kasragod, So we provide them with new dress to the most poor children of this place. 4. Bank Account – Navajeevana opened bank account to the most poor people. We make sure that in every year we they earn an amount of Rs. 10000 and it is deposited in their account 5. Tour to the disabled people – Navajeevna conduct a one day tour to the disabled people in every year 6. Tailoring Training – we provide the tailoring training to the mothers of disabled children 7. Home care – Through the home care we provide special education, and physiotherapy and provides food grains to the children who are unable to come to the school due to various reasons. Through this programme we try to respond to the primary needs of the children 8. Paper Bag Making Unit – we provide an opportunity to the poor handicapped people to get some income. At present we have 26 women who are making paper bag in the unit. 9. Providing Job – we provide job to the differently abled people 10. Study Help – we provide study help to the differently abled families to come up in the society 11. House Construction – We have constructed 5 houses for the differently abled families in this locality. 12.
