This vlog follows a relaxing day trip from Kyoto Station to Biwako Valley Ropeway in Shiga. After a scenic train ride to Shiga Station (sit on the left side for the best views!), I continued to the ropeway area by taxi with a bus option also available. Tickets can be purchased at the base, but buying online is recommended to avoid long queues. Ski gear and accessories are available for rent on-site, and lockers make it easy to store your belongings before heading up. The ropeway then takes you high above Lake Biwa, offering stunning panoramic views of Japan’s largest lake and surrounding mountains. A simple, smooth journey filled with calm moments, winter scenery, and beautiful landscapes all easily reachable from Kyoto.
