I'm so excited to have you come cook with me in my kitchen - with a bit of help from my mom! Together we make LYONERKUCHEN, a delicious German dish! I was inspired to make this dish from watching one of my favorite YT channels (and friends!), Kirsten and Joerg - Two Germans in Britain. I have to say, these kinds of videos are definitely more work than my usual blah, blahs!! If I had another camera and another set of hands, that would be great! Hats off to them for the great work they do! / @kirstenjoerg . If you watch them, say hello from me!! Here is their version of making this dish: • Cooking with my nephew Luca: LYONERKUCHEN ... I'm so happy to have Babbel sponsoring my channel again! They are a top-notch company and I'm honored that they support me! Lyonerkuchen recipe: Ingredients: 500g Lyoner sausage. I used regular German bologna sausage. Puff Pastry 1 Onion 1 Leek 3.5 - 4 ounces Bacon - I used Pancetta 4 Eggs 8 ounces Heavy Cream 5.5 ounces Grated Cheese (I used 8 oz Gouda) Oil Salt & Pepper Nutmeg Paprika Instructions: Slice the onion and the leek. Cut the sausage into thick cubes and fry with the bacon or pancetta in a bit of oil, then add the onion and leek. Put aside and let it cool down. Whisk eggs and cream and add the cooled sausage and onion mixture. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and paprika. Finally, add the grated cheese. Spray a springform pan (I used Pam) and line with parchment paper. Add all of the mixture into the pan and put into the oven for about 40-45 minutes at 390-400F degrees. Let rest a bit before serving. Then ENJOY! The salad dressing can go on any kind of salad of your liking. Let me know if you try this and what you think!! It was SOOOO GOOD! Hugs from me to you!
