You have to make it fall." - Ernesto Guevara Tiamat is a primordial goddess in Mesopotamian mythology, representing the chaotic saltwater sea. She is a central figure in the **Babylonian creation epic, the Enuma Elish **, where she embodies the forces of chaos and is both a creator and a destroyer. Initially, Tiamat is a motherly figure who, with her consort Apsu (the freshwater god), gives birth to the first generation of gods. However, after a rebellion among her offspring leads to Apsu's death, Tiamat transforms into a vengeful force, creating an army of monsters to wage war against the younger gods. She is ultimately defeated by the storm god Marduk, who splits her body to create the heavens and the earth, establishing order from her chaos. Tiamat is a symbol of primordial power, chaos, and the eternal struggle between disorder and creation.
