A customer asked me for my opinion on the AT 210V+ vs. the AT 112H+. I had not done a side by side comparison of those two before, so this was very interesting. I had expected the 210 to be louder and have more bottom due to the larger volume of the cabinet. But the 112H was noticeably more punchy and stronger in the bottom end. At the start of the video, both tweeters were set in the "Low" position. In that setting, the 210 sounded slightly better for slapping than the 112H. With both tweeters set in the "High" position, the 210 had too much top end for my taste, while the 112H had about the same amount of top end that the 210V had in the "Low" tweeter position. But the top end was not completely natural sounding, I think probably because there is a bit of a dip in response at the frequencies that are higher than what the main 12" driver puts out, but lower than what the tweeter puts out. Setting the tweeter on maximum emphasizes that dip in frequency response, while with the tweeter set to low, the dip is not so noticeable.
