Mixing Paint With Just Water? How To Mix Paint For Dutch Pours ~ Demonstrating 3 Brands Of Paint!

Are you curious how to mix paint “just with water” like everyone talks about? Do you wonder what the ratios are, and how you know when you’ve got your mix right? Today I’ll show you how to mix tube paint (student- or artist-grade soft-body acrylic paint, NOT craft paint) with water to make a LOVELY thin paint that’s perfect for Dutch pours and other hair dryer pours! I mix my paints by weight because a digital scale makes it SUPER easy to keep track of what you’re doing. But mixing paint and water can easily be done without a scale. The key is to add the water just a little bit at a time, and mix until it is fully incorporated before adding more water. If you add too much water at once, your paint will stay lumpy and give you trouble when it’s time to paint.
