Correspondant are back for their 120th release with a hat trick from Skatman via the ‘Transmission’ EP. The title track, ‘Transmission’ kicks off the release. A brooding number that effortlessly melds elements of body music, acid house and early Detroit techno for a straight dance floor bomb. In keeping with the theme of dance floor detonators, the release’s second stanza ‘Let’s Skank’ provides us with more peaktime goodness. A track of contrasts, cleverly utilising dubwise samples with horns and synths all marching to the sound of a heavy duty 4/4 kick. ‘Devil Run’ delivers again on the assignment of peak time banger. A pulsating, menacing track that straddles the line between italo and techno.
