It follows the American Curriculum to nurture children to become happy and successful individuals. While the school meets the Common Core Standards for academic rigor, D-PREP's lessons are applied differently to meet the social and emotional needs of modern children. In the Early Years, when children are at a formative stage of their life, they are free to explore and ask questions through the Reggio Emilia approach and the inquiry-based approach of the International Baccalaureate (IB PYP) program. As students age and enter their Primary Years, the school retains the IB PYP approach while preparing them for their teenage years in middle school. Middle School years (Grades 6-8) are when children start to form their sense of identity and explore different passions. To meet the needs of this age group, D-PREP uses the Expeditionary Learning (EL) program, where students go out of the classroom and into the real world to apply what they learned in class. By exposing children to different facets of life, they begin to discover their strengths and weaknesses and learn to become advocates for their future careers. In High School, academics become more rigorous. With the guidance of college counselors and our expansive educational support team, high school students choose one of D-PREP's courses of study, which are: 1. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) 2. Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship 3. Individualized Passion Program Under these programs, students are encouraged to take Advanced Placement (AP) Courses to earn college credits that can be used for university studies outside the country.
