A folding thermometer frame with voice output upgrade. This thermometer has become my daily driver device of choice in Nutritional Laboratory 13 (NutLab13). I liked the original folding thermometers as it would just fit in an unused spot in the top drawer by the stove and not disturb anything else. The new version is the same size, but reacts much quicker which is good to not keep you waiting while something else catches fire, the new model has a brighter backlight which is good for the late dinner barbeque as that corner of the yard is a bit dark and I would not want to burn anything up. And the best part, it has an audio voice report. The voice is a little slow on the output, but it is audible and accurate. If I am busy with something, I can just jab the point of interest and hit the audio button while I am looking at something else about to catch on fire. When complete just fold it closed again and it is off. If I do not get it closed completely and stuff it in a pocket and forget it. It will not run the battery down because it has a 10 minute shut down. No activity for 10 minutes and it will turn itself off. Besides being fast and accurate, it is just fun to use. No more burned sausages guessing if the pork is done or not. Same with frozen burger patties. As soon as the center reading is 150 they are done.
