RECOMMENDED: The Mavic Mini has a very low ground clearance, which means you need a flat surface to launch and land with. Grass and ground clutter can interfere with your gimbal when it's on the ground, so a launch pad is a smart idea. I use the Hoodman Drone 5' Launch Pad and have for years. Below is a link to the 3' version of the launch pad, which is cheaper and more appropriately sized to the Mavic series drones.
