DON'T Use Aluminum Shifter Bushings! Thermoplasitc is the Way With HardRace!

After a short hiatus, I bring you another piece of my transmission upgrade puzzle: HardRace Thermoplastic (TPV) Shifter Bushings. Part two of my 6 part transmission upgrade series, I go over the differences of these two bushings and give you visual demonstrations of their strengths. I also tell you why you should avoid using solid aluminum shifter bushings except in rare cases. A majority of people know they should replace their shifter bushings on their age-old B series (or any non-cable) transmission. Matter of fact, for a lot of individuals these are among the first upgrades they perform to their vehicles. Similar to my previous video on Detent Springs, these are a low-investment high-reward upgrade. Nothing makes a car feel better than a refreshed shift linkage so that you can feel (and hear!) every gear change clean-and-crisp. Especially on an old Honda chassis like my 200,000+ mile EK Civic Coupe. What you don't know, and what is hard to find, is the exact reasoning why one would use a specific material over another. In this case, I tell you why you should use Thermoplastic instead of Aluminum for most applications when searching for the stiffest and most responsive shift linkage setup.
