I would like to thank all of you for the advice you have given me and the recommendations you have made which have helped me considerably in the course of building this collection. This song is one that has a special meaning to me as it was the first operetta aria I listened to which kindled my interest in the genre. This singer might not have a voice as distinctive as Willy Hofmann's but his voice is just as charming and beautiful. Besides the softer and slower approach he takes in singing this song works better in its performance. It makes one yearn to go back to the old days where the pace of life was more relaxed and one could take the time to appreciate the good things in life. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts on this song. I would like to dedicate this video to the venerable and legendary Mike from 100Singers for taking the time and having the patience to provide me with the knowledge and inspiration I needed to pursue my goal of building an operetta collection. This video is the first step I'll be making on a new journey.
