Preconceived notions are the locks on the door to wisdom. -Merry Browne You are filled with a complex tapestry of beliefs, opinions, and biases. While these make your writing unique, they can also blind you to ideas that contradict your existing beliefs. This can turn those beliefs into concrete barriers that limit your ability to to understand your subject or your audience deeply. Proverbs 18:15 says, "The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks understanding." Wisdom and understanding are not just intellectual assets; they're spiritual endowments. Being open to learning, always questioning your beliefs and preconceptions, is a humble way to seek wisdom. Embrace Uncertainty and the idea that it's okay to not have all the answers. Pray for Wisdom by invoking James 1:5 before each research or writing session. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Continuously revise your content. With each revision pass, you'll see holes that weren't there last week. This is normal. As your understanding deepens, so does your written expression of it. An open mind and humble inquiry unlocks the doors barred by preconceived notions. Beyond those doors are uncharted territories of wisdom. #AuthorMindset #MindsetMonday #Commitment #Writing #AmWriting #WritingCommunity #Writer #Christian #NonFiction #Author
